History

The Laparoscopy Training Center of Tehran University of Medical Science is a dedicated center for training and research in minimally invasive surgeries established in 2000. The center spans 900 sq meters of scientific workshops, five bed operation room , basic and advanced laparoscopy lab, conference room, projector room, advanced training equipment. This place juxtaposes Mirza Kochak Khan women specialty  hospital.

ACADEMIC OVERVIEW · One of the first things you will want to know is whether the University offers courses in the subject or subjects which interest you. T.U.M.S. is a very large university. One of the many advantages of its size is that it can offer a very wide range of courses. · Admission to T.U.M.S. is granted without regard to age, race, color, religion, sex, handicap, or national origin. · T.U.M.S. admits by field of study and degree, and when you apply, you must indicate an interest in the school and degree. The schools are in fact, administrative groupings of departments. · There are eight schools that offer specialized undergraduate and postgraduate degrees. · A B.S. Course is offered in 4 years, an M.S. Course in 2 years, an M.D. course in 7 years, D.D.S. and Pharm.D. courses in 6 years, a Ph.D. course in 4 years. Residency and Fellowship programs are offered with different length of time( 2-6 years). · Studying at T.U.M.S. is based on a semester schedule. The fall semester begins in September and ends approximately in the middle of February. The spring semester begins in February and ends at the end of June.
