The Second Course of Basic Laparoscopic Education for Nurses and Employees of Operating-room was held with the attendance of 22 people from all over the Country in the Education Center of Laparoscopic Surgery of Tehran University of Medical Science in 26 to 28 Ordibehesht, 1388. This Course was compiled with the purpose of improving knowledge of Nurses and Employees who are in connection with Laparoscopy. In addition to Mr. Dr. Hossein Ashegh, the Center Director, Dr. Zahra Asgari, Dr. Alireza Zarin Ara, Dr. Jalal Rezai expressed different topics of Laparoscopy in connection with Nurses. The topics which were offered in this course are:
- The role and position of nurses in operating-room and the management of affairs
- Surgeries which have less invasion and new methods of reducing intervention in patients’ body.
- Working group and the position and the role of nurses in surgical group
- Laparoscopy generalities
- Hemoustazi and Kouter in Laparoscopy
- The supervisions before and after the Laparoscopic Surgery
- Recognizing the tools of Laparoscopy
- Entering the cavity of abdomen and the different kinds of Laparoscopic gases
- The methods of disinfection of Laparoscopic tools and equipments
- The advanced operating-room and the system of CORE
At the end of the Course, the certificates were issued by Tehran University of Medical Science.

The First Expert Course of Laparoscopic Fundoplication Surgery was held with the attendance of Professor Manncke from Germany, Dr. Ashegh, and Dr. Karimiyan in the Education Center of Laparoscopic Surgery of Tehran University from 2 to 4 Ordibehesht. In this course, in addition to Theoretical Subjects in the field of method of conducting this surgery, Indications, its intricacies, and the practical method of conducting this surgery in the animal model (Dog) were taught by Professor Manncke and the participants were conducting this surgery on animal model for two days in operating-room. At the end of the Course, Wolf Company and Tehran University of Medical Science offered the participants the license of the course participation.
